2. Hosting

External Hosting

This website is externally hosted. The personal data collected on this website is stored on the servers of the hosting provider(s). This may primarily include IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website accesses, and other data generated via a website.
External hosting is carried out for the purpose of fulfilling contracts with our potential and existing customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) and in the interest of providing our online services in a secure, fast, and efficient manner through a professional provider (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If consent has been requested, the processing will take place exclusively based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s end device (e.g., device fingerprinting) under the TTDSG. The consent can be withdrawn at any time.

This is a legally required contract ensuring that they process the personal data of our website visitors only according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

3. General Notes on the Legal Grounds for Data Processing on this Website

If you have given your consent to data processing, we process your personal data based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a GDPR, if special categories of data are processed under Art. 9 para. 1 GDPR. In case of an explicit consent for the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is also carried out based on Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or access to information on your end device (e.g., via device fingerprinting), the data processing will also be based on § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. The consent can be withdrawn at any time.
If your data is necessary for the fulfillment of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data if required to fulfill a legal obligation based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR. Data processing may also be carried out based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The relevant legal grounds for processing in each individual case are explained in the following sections of this privacy policy.

3.1 Note on Data Transfer to the USA and Other Third Countries

We use tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries with insufficient data protection laws. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in these third countries. Please note that in these countries, no level of data protection comparable to that of the EU can be guaranteed. For example, US companies are required to hand over personal data to security authorities, without you being able to take legal action against this. Therefore, it cannot be excluded that US authorities (e.g., intelligence agencies) may process, analyze, and store your data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.

3.2 Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke any consent you have given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

3.3 Right to Object to Data Collection in Specific Cases as Well as to Direct Marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data processing is carried out based on Art. 6 para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The relevant legal grounds for processing are explained in this privacy policy. If you object, we will no longer process your affected personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate reasons for processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims (objection under Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR).
If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such marketing purposes; this also applies to profiling as far as it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection under Art. 21 para. 2 GDPR).

3.4 SSL or TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the change in the browser address bar from “http://” to “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data Collection on This Website

4.1 Cookies

Our websites use so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small data packages that do not cause any harm to your device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies) on your device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Persistent cookies remain on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
In some cases, third-party cookies may also be stored on your device when you visit our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services from the third party (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies serve various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website features would not function without them (e.g., shopping cart function or displaying videos). Other cookies are used to analyze user behavior or display advertisements.
Cookies that are necessary for the completion of the electronic communication process, the provision of certain features desired by you (e.g., shopping cart function), or for optimizing the website (e.g., cookies for measuring web audience) are stored based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies to provide his services in a technically error-free and optimized manner. If consent for the storage of cookies or the use of similar recognition technologies is requested, the data processing is based solely on this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG); consent can be revoked at any time.
You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or generally, or to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are disabled, the functionality of this website may be limited.
If cookies from third parties or for analysis purposes are used, we will inform you separately in this privacy policy and, if necessary, request your consent.

4.2 Consent with Borlabs

This website uses Borlabs’ consent technology to obtain your consent for the storage of certain cookies on your device or the use of certain technologies and to document it in compliance with data protection regulations. The provider of this technology is Borlabs GmbH, Hamburger Str. 11, 22083 Hamburg, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “Borlabs”).

• Your consent(s) or the revocation of your consent(s)
• Your IP address
• Information about your browser
• Information about your end device
• The time of your visit to the website

In addition, Borlabs stores a cookie in your browser to assign the consents you have given or their revocation. The data collected in this way is stored until you request its deletion, delete the Borlabs cookie yourself, or the purpose for the data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
The use of Borlabs is carried out to obtain the legally required consents for the use of certain technologies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.

4.3 Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your inquiry relates to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in efficiently handling the inquiries directed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), if requested; consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for storing the data ceases (e.g., after the inquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—especially retention periods—remain unaffected.

4.4 Inquiry via Email, Phone, or Fax

If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry, including all personal data resulting from it (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request.
The data you send to us via contact inquiries will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for storing the data ceases (e.g., after the inquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—especially legal retention periods—remain unaffected.

5. Social Media

5.1 Facebook

This website integrates elements from the social network Facebook, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, located in Dublin, Ireland. According to Facebook, data is also transferred to the USA and other third countries. When the social media element is active, a direct connection is established between your device and Facebook’s servers, allowing Facebook to know that you visited this website, including your IP address. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while logged into your Facebook account, the content of this website can be linked to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit with your user account. The website operator does not have access to the content of the data transferred or its use by Facebook. More information can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy: Facebook Privacy Policy. If consent has been obtained, the use of this service is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. If consent was not obtained, the service is used based on our legitimate interest in maximizing visibility on social media.

We are jointly responsible for the data processing related to the collection and transfer of data to Facebook with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, as per Article 26 GDPR. We are responsible for providing the necessary privacy information and ensuring proper implementation, while Facebook is responsible for the security of its products. Any rights regarding the data processed by Facebook (e.g., access requests) can be asserted directly with Facebook. If you assert these rights with us, we are obligated to forward them to Facebook.

Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. More details can be found at: Facebook Data Transfer Addendum.

5.3 LinkedIn

This website also uses elements from the LinkedIn network, provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. When you access a page on this website containing LinkedIn elements, a connection is established to LinkedIn’s servers, which notifies LinkedIn of your visit, including your IP address. If you click the LinkedIn “Recommend” button while logged into your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn can associate your visit with your user account. The website operator does not have access to the content of the data transferred or its use by LinkedIn.

If consent has been obtained, the use of this service is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. If consent was not obtained, the service is used based on our legitimate interest in maximizing visibility on social media.

The transfer of data to the USA is also based on the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. More information can be found here: LinkedIn Data Transfer and LinkedIn Privacy Policy.

6. Analysis Tools and Advertising

6.1 Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited. This tool helps us manage and deploy tracking or statistics tools and other technologies on our website. Google Tag Manager does not create user profiles, store cookies, or perform independent analysis. It only serves to manage and deploy the tools integrated through it. However, Google Tag Manager collects your IP address, which may be transmitted to Google’s parent company in the United States.

The use of Google Tag Manager is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, as the website operator has a legitimate interest in quickly and easily integrating and managing various tools on the website. If consent is requested, the processing is solely based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

6.2 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google Analytics helps the website operator analyze visitor behavior. It provides various usage data such as page views, time spent on the site, operating systems used, and user origin, all assigned to the user’s device.

Google Analytics uses technologies like cookies or device fingerprinting to recognize users for the purpose of analyzing behavior. Data is typically transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The service is used based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

IP Anonymization
We have activated IP anonymization on this website. This means that Google truncates your IP address within the EU or other EEA member states before transferring it to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

Browser Plugin
You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at: Google Analytics Opt-Out Plugin.

Data Processing Agreement
We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google and fully comply with the strict guidelines of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

7. Plugins and Tools

7.1 Google Fonts (Local Hosting)

This website uses Google Fonts for uniform font display. The fonts are hosted locally, meaning no connection to Google’s servers is made.

More information on Google Fonts can be found here: Google Fonts FAQ.

7.3 Data Retention

Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose of the data processing is fulfilled. If you make a legitimate request for deletion or revoke consent for data processing, your data will be deleted unless there are other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., retention periods for tax or commercial law). In that case, the data will be deleted once the reasons for retention no longer apply.

7.5 Polylang

This website uses the Polylang plugin to provide multilingual content. Polylang allows the website to be displayed in different languages, improving the user experience. Polylang does not store or process any personal data beyond what is necessary for the functionality of multilingual content. However, certain technical data, such as language settings and URL parameters, may be stored to ensure proper display of the website in the correct language. These data are used solely for improving the user experience and are not shared with third parties.

8.1 Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Supervisory Authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the EU member state of their habitual residence, workplace, or place of the alleged violation. This right is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.

8.2 Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive data processed automatically based on your consent or in the performance of a contract in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request direct transmission of the data to another controller, this will only be done to the extent technically feasible.

8.3 Right to Access, Deletion, and Correction

You have the right to request information about the personal data we have stored about you, including its origin, recipients, and purpose of processing, as well as to request corrections or deletions of this data.

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. This right applies in the following cases:

If the processing of your personal data is restricted, these data may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, for the protection of the rights of another individual or entity, or for reasons of substantial public interest of the EU or a member state.
